MIROZA TOWER

NYC Metro Area

INFO+

The Miroza Tower Is a transit oriented new building project located in Yonkers, New York. The building has rental apartments with extensive amenity spaces and commercial use.

The building form comprises ribbons at each floor which undulate to accommodate required zoning and programmatic setbacks. The undulation of each ribbon is curated to enable a homogeneous transition from horizontal slab edge changes to vertical setback changes, while introducing various recessed or cantilevered outdoor and indoor spaces. The ribbons adapt to topographical variations at street level and functional requirements at the roof level. The first-floor ribbon helps to define pedestrian and vehicular entrances. The top ribbon elevation varies to define a roofline that carefully hides bulkheads and mechanical units on one side and on the other side disappears to open up views from the rooftop garden out towards the Hudson River and the Palisades.
